The Rhodes Galleries will be closed for one day on....
A yoga class for all abilities and open to everyone.
Every Wednesday in the Dance Studio 9.30 - 11am with Mandy Beaumont (BWY + YA accredited teacher).
Open to all ages, levels and abilities. Everyone is welcome and will benefit - from shy non-toe-touchers to flexible back benders!
Class price is £8 when booked in advance per term/half term ( there is also a drop-in rate available at £10).
WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga offers a holistic approach to body, mind and spirit which can provide the 'tools' to cope with the challnges of everyday life. Yoga works on every aspect of the physical body - building up strength, stamina, toning and flexibility - increasing the flow of energy as well as improving mental health through concentration, awareness and the ability to relax. It is non competitive and can benefit everyone - no matter what your age, fitness level or background.
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING WITH YOU
Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes ( leggings, training bottoms, T-shirt) which will allow for ease of movement - stretchy fabrics are suitable. Several layers are best.
Bring a yoga mat if you have one (Mandy can lend you one for your first class and can supply brand new quality mats at a discounted price). Bring a blanket and a small cushion (or yoga bolster if you have one). Yoga is best practised on an empty stomach, so try to avoid eating for 2 hours before a class (or just have a light snack).
