Description

Phoenix Theatre Arts in Association with Rhodes present

William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Directed by Phil Dale

Hermia has got the hots for smooth talking Lysander whilst, much to the annoyance of her father Egeus, the lovers have gone AWOL in the forest. Pursued by Hermia’s boyfriend Demetrius and Helena, her BFF, the four unsuspecting teenagers stumble into the middle of a festival.

And as anyone who has ever been to one knows, festivals tend to bring out the strangest behaviour and things are about to get very weird indeed….

William Shakespeare’s best loved and most accessible comedy is brought to life on the Rhodes stage as Artistic Producer Phil Dale transposes the play to a modern day music festival whilst leaving the original dialogue intact.

Shakespeare as it should be – vibrant, fun and bang up to date!
