Description

If you love ‘Carry On’, you’ll love this play. If you hate ‘Carry On’, come and find out how much they hated it!

Contexture Theatre returns with this sharp and hilarious biographical comedy revealing that the filming of the Carry On series was a less than glamorous affair, characterised by leaking caravans, inadequate pay-cheques and argumentative co-stars.

The action takes place on rain-soaked locations with a scantily-clad Barbara taking refuge in Sid’s trailer while he and co-star Kenneth Williams carry on their notorious feud.

While Barbara has to decide whether to dump her prison-bound husband and continue her affair with Sid, he helps Imogen to decide if her Barbie figure will go down well at the RSC.

“A funny, biting, and ultimately touching evening in the company of Sid, Babs and Kenneth.”

“I don’t want the love of the nation; it’s unhygienic” sniffs Kenneth Williams
