Rhod Gilbert for one night only!!
Just announced! Rhod GIlbert on 28th February for ....
Musical play and learn
Musical play and learn for under 5's- a six week c....
Here's what the 2011 audience said:
"my family and I absolutely loved the pantomime, the best one we have seen to date!"
"Congratulations on Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood – it was AMAZING! I have never seen a better pantomime in my life!"
" I just wanted to congratulate you all in making this year's pantomime so much fun! The stage, costumes, make up, lighting, story, characters, music, singing and acting were all brilliant. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and we look forward to seeing you all again next Xmas!"
"As usual the show was fab. A great afternoon out."
Here's what the Press said:
"Lee Ellaway returns to Stortford as a lovely, blowsy Dame …while Phil Dale as the evil Sheriff, resplendent in black leather, insults everyone and wields a mighty sword with panache….Director Jeanne Stacey elicits big, broad performances from her crew who fill the Rhodes from the stage to the back of the auditorium with fun and laughter." (The Stage)
"Within the framework of a slick production which moved seamlessly from one scene to the next, whose entertainment values are matched by the sets, costumes, lighting and music, and with fire, water (get ready to duck near the end) and a snow machine thrown in, it's got all the elements and constitutes a great night out locally." The Herts and Essex Observer
We are happy to confirm that the 2012 pantomime is Cinderella and will once again be produced by Phil Dale.
"Our first two pantos are probably more popular with boys so I am looking forward to bringing the magic of the greatest fairy story of all time to Rhodes" says Phil, "Of course we'll have all the elements you'll expect such as a beautiful Cinderella, two Ugly Sisters and a handsome Prince. However, as always there will be some surprises. The transformation of the mice and the pumpkin into a coach and horses is always something to look forward to."
Open auditions for the Junior Chorus will be held Sunday 8th July at Rhodes – watch the Rhodes website for more details nearer the time.
